- They can survive 90 days without food and 40 days without water.
- A cockroach head can live without its body for 12 hours. Cockroaches aren’t dependent on their mouth or head to breathe. They breathe through holes in their body segments.
- They can handle ten times more radiation than humans and other animals.
- Cockroaches shed and they can regrow all six of their legs.
- They spend 75% of their time resting and will get sick if they spend too much time alone.
- It has been shown that American cockroaches are attracted to alcoholic drinks, particularly beer.
