- Keep firewood stacked away from the exterior of your home so that rodents and other pests don’t take shelter right up against your house (and so they don’t eventually find their way inside your house).
- Check the exterior of your home for any gaps and cracks where pests might get in through and seal up any vulnerabilities that you find with pest-resistant materials.
- If you hear scratching or scurrying in the walls or ceiling of your home, it is likely that mice have found their way inside. Chew marks and droppings are also telltale signs of rodent activity. Reach out to your local pest control expert for rodent control help.
- Don’t be surprised if you find stinkbugs or ladybugs hiding inside your house. These overwintering pests hibernate in warm places during the winter.
